Site Story —

Courtney has led nonprofits fighting human trafficking and sexual exploitation in multiple states and two countries, over the last decade. In hopes to have greater impact, she’s working on her PhD to educate practitioners and advocates for systemic change throughout the world. The primary logo carrying this vision uses a gothic, clean font with modern appeal. I designed it stacked and asymmetrical. Intentionally, this logo lacks symmetry and the kerning between letters creates a tension found in the topic, subtly conveying the need for change. The bold pop of color signifies the hideousness of the problem as well as the bold action needed to solve it.

BUILT on Squarespace

The Squarespace site needs to be inspiring and educational, a resource on the topic. Functionally, the homepage and about page have sticky sections to allow stats, infographics, as well as a longer bio scroll alongside an anchor idea or statement. These combined with lots of color blocks, large type, and the custom palette makes this advocacy site both dynamic and functional.
