Site Story —

After several years as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Jennifer Wilmoth, started Thrive Forward Therapy as a welcoming place for people to move forward from difficult circumstances and find new ways to thrive in their life. Being in Counseling and Therapy for many years, Jennifer didn’t want a “typical” counselor’s site— she wanted a professional look without sacrificing creativity. For her online home, we chose Wix. The platform allows for subtle animation, fading in elements so there’s both visual interest as well as movement to the site. While this design decision isn’t right for every site, it reinforces her brand message of growth and forward movement in the site design.

This ethos of moving forward is also what drove the design of slanted sections and italicized keywords for headings. In the logo itself, the wordmark is in all caps and “FORWARD” is italicized so that every piece of the brand is telling the same story. The logo is anchored by a modern, leaf icon to communicate a brand promise of not just movement, but growth and the color palette is the brand journey moving from moody blues to soft greens in the backgrounds, buttons, and the stock imagery selected.

Is Wix right for your business?

Websites are a critical tool to find, connect, and grow your audience. That means you need more than pretty design— you need a platform that’s easy to use so that you’re not wasting time caught up in tech-tape. Wix handles site security, updates and their page builder is intuitive and responsive. Here are three features I love even more than its competitors Wordpress or Squarespace.
